About the event
What’s involved: arrive at 930 for a cup of tea and we will drop into noble silence together at 10.00am. Through the rest of the day we will rest into a series of practices that make up the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course including the body scan, mindful movement, sitting and walking meditations.
Immerse, refresh and deepen your practice, experience ways of building mindfulness into your daily life.

Bring: yoga mat & meditation props if you have them, shawl/warm things, a packed lunchProvided: teas, coffee, juice, afternoon tea, chairs & some cushions, meditation stools & a few yoga mats.

About Dr. Larissa Bartlett
Dr. Larissa Bartlett has been practicing yoga and meditation for 15 years and is registered to teach the MBSR program through the Mindfulness Training Institute of Australasia. Her approach to teaching mindfulness incorporates both its Eastern origins and Western science. She has a PhD from the Menzies Institute for Medical Research in the health and social effects of mindfulness training.
Her research has been published in high impact journals and shows that different approaches to teaching and learning mindfulness have variable effects on personal, social and performance outcomes. Dr. Bartlett offers this course to anyone seeking to reduce worry and stress, and to improve their wellbeing.
